Central NY’s largest primary care provider ‘hopeful’ for first time in Excellus talks

Syracuse, NY — Central New York’s largest primary care provider is now “hopeful” to reach an agreement with dominant insurer Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, potentially saving coverage for 30,000 patients, its CEO told syracuse.com | The Post-Standard today.
FamilyCare Medical Group‘s CEO Dr. Mitchell Brodey said the two sides made progress in resolving their issues during a multi-hour meeting Thursday. That was the first time Brodey said he felt the two sides had made inroads since the beginning of the year.
